Check Diablo 4 Wandering Death Spawn Times and Location

The Wandering Death World Boss is most definitely a beast to be reckoned with in Diablo 4.

World Bosses are an entirely new feature to the series where you must work together with other players to take on huge and intimidating monsters.

Before you can participate in the event, you’ll need to know where and when it can spawn, as well as the best ways of taking this sucker out.

You’ll find everything you need to know here.

Where to Find the Wandering Death Location in Diablo 4

Depending on your Region progress, the Wandering Death can spawn in one of five locations:

  • The Crucible in Fractured Peaks
  • Caen Adar in Scosglen
  • Saraab Calder in Dry Steppes
  • The Seared Basin in Kehjistan
  • Fields of Desecration in Hawezar

1. The Crucible in Fractured Peaks

Can be found to the east of the Kyovoshad Waypoint in the Fractured Peaks Region

2. Caen Adar in Scosglen

Can be found to the north of the Corbach Waypoint in the Scosglen Region

3. Saraab Calder in Dry Steppes

Can be found to the southeast of the Hidden Overlook Waypoint in the Dry Steppes Region

4.The Seared Basin in Kehjistan

Can be found to the southeast of the Jirandai Waypoint in the Kehjistan Region

5. Fields of Desecration in Hawezar

Can be found to the southeast of the Zarbinzet Waypoint in the Hawezar Region

All three World Bosses can spawn in one of these locations – the Wandering Death has a chance to appear in any of them.

A notification will appear up to 30 minutes before it is set to spawn in one of the above locations. The main campaign must be completed first before you can receive notifications for World Boss spawns.

Wandering Death World Boss Spawn Times in Diablo 4

The Wandering Death does not have a specific set spawn time, but has the chance to spawn roughly every 6 hours in the game. This is synchronized for all players across all time zones.

Within the 6 hour window for when World Bosses can spawn, there are two-hour blocks where they will appear.

The Wandering Death can spawn in one of these two-hour blocks every six hours or so. It’s an estimate but will give you a good indication of when the next World Boss is likely to appear

The Wandering Death World Boss Map Icon

The simplest way to see when the Wandering Death will appear in-game is to continually check the five possible spawn locations on your map. You’ll need to check the map and look out for a World Boss icon up to 30 minutes before the event is set to start.

You have 15 minutes to defeat the Wandering Death. Its World Boss icon will remain on the map where it appears until the event is over.

World Boss Spawn Patterns

The World Boss that spawns is based on a 3-2-3-2 pattern. This means that the same World Boss will spawn three times in a row, followed by the next spawning two times in a row following the 3-2-3-2 pattern. It begins with the Wandering Death to Avarice and then Ashava.

The spawn pattern looks like this: Wandering Death (3) – Avarice (2) – Ashava (3) – Wandering Death (2) – Avarice (3) – Ashava (2) – Wandering Death – (3)… and so on!

The most effective way of finding out when The Wandering Death will spawn is by using a community tracker. It uses all the above data to predict and accurately estimate when and where specific World Bosses will spawn. It’s the best way of finding out when you can next take on the Wandering Death.
